Our client is currently seeking a Poultry Assistant
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Ensure birds have access to fresh water and feed
To observe all hygiene rules, this includes personal hygiene, hand washing, boot dipping/changing and the wearing of all protective clothing
Maintain house hygiene, dusting, sweeping up, friable litter and clean boot dips
To ensure that floor eggs are kept to a minimum by training birds to use the nest boxes.
Maintain accurate record keeping - house temperature, mortality, egg collections.
All other general Poultry Welfare
Egg Grading
Culling
Successful candidates should have a background in a similar role, or with other livestock and not own, or be in direct contact with other birds
The basic pay rate is GBP8.70 - GBP17.40 per hour. This role will include working on a 6 on 2 off shift pattern
