Graduate Mechanical Engineer - Cambridge
We are currently working with a small but well-funded spin-out company, based in the Cambridge area, who are looking for a well educated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to help with the development of new technologies.
This spin-out company are financially back by a large technology company, so you will have the same benefits and job security you would have with a large company but the working style of a smaller spin-out company.
The technology they are developing, and building is very complex, due to this your Mechanical Degree would ideally have involved you working on electro-mechanical devices, however if you have a proven track record of thinking out the box and your complex technology was not electro-mechanical we would still consider your application.
It is expected that you would have just finished your degree or just returned from a gap year and are looking for your first role in industry. You will ideally hold a 1st or 2:1 degree within a mechanical engineering subject or another relevant degree.
Although you do not need to hold a masters or PhD for this role, it would be advantageous. Any industry experience in a scientific or complex mechanical company would be welcome, this could be a summer placement, a placement year or even your first role in industry.
When successful in this role, you will be rewarded with an excellent starting salary, generous pension, bonus, medical cover and other benefits you would not normally have access to in a spin-out or start-up.
