Class 2 & 7.5 Tonne Driver Opportunities

Our Client is an international multi-service provider, offering textile, hygiene and facility services solutions. Present in Europe and Latin America, they are a leader in most of the 28 countries in which they operate, employing 45,000 professionals at 440 production and services centres; this is a great opportunity to join a company that supports their people!

They now have opportunities available for 7.5 tonne and Class 2 Drivers to join them based from their Birmingham depot where you will work on the workwear contract. The opportunities include the same route daily but different parts of the Midlands, the Route Controller positions will be for having responsibility for covering sickness and holidays – this will also equate to a full time 45 hour per week position but will mean your daily route will vary and vehicle type.

The Route Controller position also carries a Police Clear policy which includes immediate family, this will be completed upon commencement of employment.

With knowledge of Drivers hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph compliance and experience of carrying out safety checks, vehicle defect reports, time sheets and fuel logs, you will be the last point of call between our Client and their customers and so you must be customer focused and flexible in your working hours.

In return they offer excellent rates of pay and can provide a set rota and shift pattern (for some routes), although flexibility and the ability to work overtime is preferred. For the Route Controller position the pay is under review and will be dependent on experience – for this you will need a Class 6 ADR licence which is desirable but not essential.

All that we ask is that you hold a 7.5 tonne or Class 2 licence, a driver CPC and ideally have some driving and laundry experience but not essential.  Please note that the job is of a physical nature, delivering and collecting cages of linen and sometimes may involve some bag work and you will be expected to pass our in-house driver assessment upon appointment.
