Stroke Befriending Co-ordinator (Job-Share)
This post is part time for 15 hours per week, for 6 months

and attracts a salary of £21,074 p.a. pro rata

with an essential car user allowance of £600 p.a. pro rata

Office based at one of our offices across Cornwall

This role involves the continued development of the Stroke Befriending Project across Cornwall.  Volunteer Cornwall is delivering this project for Cornwall Foundation Partnership Trust on behalf of NHS Kernow.

Based at one of our offices across Cornwall, we are seeking someone with a good knowledge of Stroke with an understanding of the health and care system in Cornwall.  You will recruit and train Stroke Befrienders to deliver a peer to peer support service to people affected by Stroke.  Ultimately you need a passion for making a difference to the lives of people.

You should have excellent communication skills so that you can be understood by people with a wide range of communication needs at the same time being skilled at working with a wide range of health professionals.   You need to be a good team worker, flexible in your approach and willing to learn as you go.  We are looking for someone who can develop and deliver training and compile suitable resources. You must have competent IT skills along with attention to detail and good recording keeping.  Access to your own transport is essential.
