A well established Education & Residential service for Children / Young People based in a fabulous Grade 2 listed buildings with outstanding beautiful grounds are recruiting for Learning Support Assistant in Dorset. The premises can hold upto 60 students between the age of 16 - 25 year olds who have various needs such as ABI, Autism, Aspergers, ASD, anxiety and mental health conditions and SEN who will display challenging behaviour.
Main Job Role:
- Supporting the students within an education environment
- Deliver all aspects of the school`s curriculum in line with the school`s curriculum policies (numeracy, literacy, communication skills, topic-based project work, life skills, physical education, drama, music, art, craft and Therapies) etc.
- The LSA will work in a wide range of settings in the classroom and outdoor curriculum (craft sessions, farm, gardening, sports and indoor swimming on site)
Qualifying candidates:
- Must have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Must be 18 years old or over
- To get the higher end of the salary, you MUST have a Diploma / NVQ / QCF level 2 or 3 in Health and social care
Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £12,783 - £13,756 per annum= £8 an hour or £8 - £9 (level 2 - 3 qualified)
- Monday to Friday (no weekends)
- Shift patterns will be 8:30am - 5pm (40 hours)
- You will work 38 weeks out of 52 weeks per years (term time only)
