We have an immediate Project Manager contract vacancy for our prestigious utilities sector client based in Dorset
Assignment
- To plan and deliver our client's re-branding process
- Ensure a big bang launch early in 2019 through sequential project management
- Lead and coordinate work of project resources and report to the Managing Director
- Allocated resources at assignment start: 7-8 project workstreams, approximately 40 internal business resources
- Working throughout the organisation to successfully drive & deliver our client's rebranding strategy.
- Contributing to project scoping and providing accurate estimates for work required for projects.
- Ensuring project requirements are understood by all stakeholders.
- Highlighting to stakeholders the impact on quality, budget and deadlines of any changes to project.
- Ensuring efficient use of business and creative resource.
- Adhering to deadlines set by multiple facets of the business.
- Frequent contact with organisation to manage expectations and provide updates on project progress.
- Keeping track of progress and ensuring deadlines are met..
Preferred profile
- Senior Project Manager with several years of proven experience in (waterfall/Prince 2) project management
- Strong ability to deliver and drive results through organization and planning skills
- Discipline, command and authority
- Excellent stakeholder management
Ideally candidates will have the following:
- Experience in energy/utilities sector project management.
- Management experience of the full project life cycle including requirements gathering, creation of project plans and schedules, obtaining and managing resources, managing budget, and facilitating project execution, deployment, and closure.
- Hands on experience in various project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
- Strong technical background or previous experience of re-branding projects would be ideal.
