Head of IT Governance and Commercial Operations - Heavy Industry - North West

Arnold Ash have been retained by one of the UK's leading Power Generation companies to identify and attract a Head of IT Governance and Commercial Operations for their IT and OT environment.

The successful Head of IT Governance and Commercial Operations will lead, manage and direct the clients IT Governance and Commercial Operations function. Accountable for the delivery of all IT change projects and programmes to meet the clients business needs.

The Head of IT Governance and Commercial Operations will have:

• Experience of being in a governance and commercial role within an IT or Professional services organisation
• Experience in Heavy industry IT/OT (FTSE 250)
• Experience negotiating complex IT supplier agreements
• Strong communication skills and ability
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate
• Strong financial acumen, budget management and commercial awareness
• Experience creating and maintaining governance function working in a fast-paced virtual structure essential
• Experience of running a PMO function
• Experience driving change through target operating model effectiveness essential
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience of working in complex technical and Matrix environments, with relevant industry certifications and/or experience eg TOGAF

The role will typically be involved with the management of resources across circa 70+ people through the PMO function, responsible for circa 12+ direct reports.
