To manage and deliver the Aberdeen Victorian Tenement Project (AVTP). The main job purpose includes:
Provision of necessary management and co-ordination activities to deliver on the target requirements of the AVTP. The objective of this project is to insulate lofts of Victorian tenements, where existing loft is un-insulated or has inadequate levels of insulation. Other insulation measures will also be considered where viable.
Assisting in delivery of Council projects funded from internal and external organisations for improving energy efficiency in mixed tenure blocks.
The Aberdeen Victorian Tenement Project Officer will be expected to manage and deliver the project by providing a coordination service to residents and owners of flatted properties within Victorian Tenements to enable loft insulation and energy efficiency improvements to the building common areas and to flats within the buildings. The postholder will also assist in delivering the EUROPEAN INTERREG NWE ACE Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme.
The post holder will be expected to hold as a minimum
Current, full UK Driving Licence
The post holder will be expected to:
Occasionally work outside of normal office hours
Travel to, and work at a variety of buildings/locations in relation to the needs of the role
Carry out home visits etc at a variety of properties with poor accessibility and enter/access loft spaces
Access to a vehicle to enable the postholder to visit and transport work related equipment to a variety of locations/sites around the city when required
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
