Ryder Reid are working with a successful UK law firm to place a new Recruitment Manager for their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and proactive legal recruitment professional to join a dynamic and progressive firm. The Recruitment Manager will be responsible for managing all London Associate and Administration recruitment, in addition to Trainee recruitment and the Training Contract programmes. This will involve working closely with the London Partners, Administration Manager group, the Graduate Recruitment Partner and Training Principal. Key responsibilities for the Recruitment Manager will include:
- Working closely with Practice group Partners and Administration Managers to identify and meet the recruitment needs across the London office, as well as managing relevant headcount approval with New York
- Establishing and managing strong relationships with key recruitment consultants
- Ensuring that the most appropriate and cost-effective recruitment methods are adopted, including the use of direct hiring (through social media, etc)
- Preparing offers to successful candidates and completing the necessary pre-employment conflict clearance processes, including coordinating with the New York office on conflicts, background checks and offer letters
- Ensuring compliance with UK immigration regulations
- Establishing an internal framework for the recruitment of Apprentices (where appropriate) and scheduled work experience programmes
- Organising the Trainee and NQ inductions and on-going skills training, in consultation with the Professional Development Manager
- Attending the annual Global Orientation in New York
- Managing the SRA/Law Society registration of trainees completing training contracts (including DBS checks)
The ideal candidate for the Recruitment Manager will be a good team player who is able to work effectively with people of all levels. A real passion for HR is a must, and you need to possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise.
