JOB TITLE: Electrical / Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION: Portsmouth, Hampshire
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP33,000 rising to GBP37,000 after probation + excellent benefits package
WORKING HOURS: The role is part of a team which covers production over 24/7 - 36 hours per week
THE COMPANY: Portsmouth Web is a state of the art newspaper printing site and is part of the print division of Johnston Press plc, a major publisher of a number of national, local and regional titles.
THE ROLE: We are looking for an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to join the shift based Engineering team in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Reporting to the Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair across all aspects of the newspaper production equipment as well as building services.
Key Responsibilities/duties of a Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to include:-
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Electrical / Mechanical Engineer position will have an electrical / electronic / PLC background, must be self-motivated and capable of working alone or as part of a multi-disciplinary team when appropriate. You must be analytical and be able to identify the root causes of problems and implement solutions whilst working to deadlines.
