Parts Assistant/Driver - J1660BB
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced parts person to work on a long term temporary assignment for a very prestigious and well known car manufacturer. The role will be based in Southall, London at their service centre.
Purpose of the role:
To undertake all duties ensuring the effective operation of the workshop parts counter and parts warehouse to meet business requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
* Offer support to the main warehouse with goods in/out. Ensure that all items are checked, picked and dispatched accordingly.
* Deal with internal part sales enquiries to the workshop and ensure that they are processed efficiently and on time for the workshop, to maximise part sales potential.
* Check sample stock counts in the parts warehouse for stock accuracy and report back to include preparation for the annual stock count.
* Deal with inbound and outbound customer parts sales enquires in order to support customers' requirements.
* Ensure all parts sales enquiries are processed efficiently in order to maximise the sales potential, using parts sales techniques.
* Ensure that all requests for customer's parts credits are carried out and that all task are done in conjunction with guidelines and procedures.
* Prepare parts sales orders and picking for fleet operations are booked, picked and dispatched on time.
* Carry out van driving duties based on business requirements. (You won't be required to drive a vehicle larger than 3.5 tonne)
Qualifications & Experience:
* GCSE or (equivalent) in Maths and English
* Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Parts Competence or Vehicle Parts Principle (or equivalent)
* Parts apprenticeship
* A Full UK driving license - experience driving a van is desired
* Experience working in a busy parts department.
* You should be computer literate, able to work to tight deadlines, commercially aware and able to multi task whilst remaining professional.
Typically, a working week is 39 hours Monday - Friday. 8am - 17.30pm. Contract may extend to December 2019
GBP10.50/GBP11 per hour depending on previous experience.
