KITCHEN ASSISTANT - 15 hours per week
£7.90 p/h Actual Salary £6,162 P/A
Due to a review of the catering provision a need to support the current catering team has been identified.
The individual must have experience of working within a catering environment.
The role requires a need to carry out general cleaning duties and washing up so a good knowledge of food safety regulations is required.
They would be required to work alongside the cooks and assist in the preparation of fresh foods. In the case of an emergency or the absence of the cooks there may be a need for you to cook pre- prepared food (following clear guidelines and instructions).
The atmosphere must be welcoming so there is a need for the individual to have a friendly, caring and approachable nature.
The hospice provides meals for children, young people and families. This position will require the post holder to work flexibly that will include some weekends in order to meet the needs of those who access the service.
