Site Engineer - Earthworks - HS2 - Aylesbury
Location: On site at Aylesbury
Salary: GBP40,000 basic + Bonus + Pension + Package
Role Description:
Working on the HS2 Enabling work packages directly for the main contractor on the JV, working alongside the sub contractors carrying out various packages of works.
As the total package of works is 300million in value you will be only ever working on a section of the project not the full 80km length of the route. The work is varied but all based around the enabling works of the project. Packages include:-
• Vegetation clearance
• Access roads
• Archaeological digs
• Security fencing
• Bulk earthworks
• Drainage and flood prevention.
Reporting in to the Sub Agent on site you will be supporting the sub contractors with setting out, handling the day to day issues that may arise and reporting back to the Sub agent leading the daily programme.
Required Experience:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a minimum of HNC or HND
• Experience of Civil Engineering based projects including Enabling works, Environmental based projects and Earthwork based.
• This is not suitable for Structural Engineers on Buildings, Bridges or Tunneling projects..
