Assertive Outreach Worker
Hours: Part Time - 30 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Exeter
Salary: GBP20,300.00 pro rata

Julian House are looking for a skilled, creative and highly motivated individual to join our Outreach Team in Exeter to support rough sleeping individuals out of a street based lifestyle and into their own accommodation.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in outreach or community based work
Working with people who are or have been homeless
Be able to build effective relationships with clients and services in order to develop pathways to enable clients to make positive changes.
The successful candidates will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To undertake assertive outreach and hot spot visits across the locality area including during unsociable hours, and maintaining a regular street presence
Establish supportive, trusting and professional relationships with service users using an Appreciative inquiry approach
To work in close partnership with other outreach and floating support services, working as a 'one team'
Carry out needs assessments with identified rough sleepers to secure access to services which are suitable for their immediate need, and make appropriate referrals as quickly as possible.
