CNC MACHINIST - Part Time

PART TIME CNC MACHINIST POSITION

Our client is a small expanding company that manufactures vehicle accessories and wire looms and are based at Radway Green near Alsager.  They are looking to recruit a part time CNC machinist for their manufacturing premises near Bridgemere, Nantwich.  The post will be for 28 hours over a four or five day week.

The position is permanent and the successful candidate would start after the Christmas break.  Hourly rate will be between £9.00 and £10.00 dependent on skill and experience.  The Company offers flexible working hours within limits and operates an annual bonus scheme.

The person will be operating on Hurco CNC machines, automatic saws and some manual drills.  The work is varied and the person will not be tied to one machine.

The candidate will have:

• Experience and skill in operating CNC machines – conversion training to type will be provided.
• Ability to carry out minor adjustments to programmes on the machine and initial setups once conversant with type.
• Capability of operating manual machines such as pillar drills and saws.
• Ability to drive a small forklift truck on occasions or being trained to do so would be an advantage.
• Awareness of Health & Safety aspects affecting their area of work.

The candidate will be:

• Organised and tidy in their work.
• Reliable and a good time keeper.
• The candidate will require own transport as the work site is not serviced by public transport.
