The Client

Pendleton Together, a key part of the Together Housing Group, is currently recruiting for a new resident liaison officer to work as part of a new in-house resident engagement process. This is to help the group robustly, and efficiently respond to the additional challenges posed by the Grenfell Tragedy, last summer. The successful applicant’s role will be to act as a point of contact for customers at all stages of planned improvement works.

The Role

You could expect your usual day to day duties to look something along the lines of:

  • Keeping customers informed on all aspects of the planned improvement works, including the timescales involved, contractor details and the disturbance that is expected.
  • Prepare appropriate packs for customers, ensuring that a sufficient copy of plans and manufacturers literature is kept available.
  • Undertake home visits to assist with the consultation process.
  • Prepare display boards, publicity material, run a show house or presentation during the consultation stage of schemes.
  • Work with the Resident Liaison Co-ordinators and contractors on the programme of the scheme, ensuring that the project co-ordinators receive the customer’s choices or information relating to the vulnerability.

To be able to deliver this role as effectively as possible, you will require the following skills, experience & knowledge:

  • Experience in a customer service role – dealing directly with members of the public, ideally with keeping customers informed and respecting their opinions
  • Experience of organisations and planning your own workload
  • Experience of working unsupervised, using your own initiative and taking ownership to solve problems
  • Proven experience of working within policy and procedural guidelines and / or a contractual environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with an approachable personality

Due to the nature of the work, a full current & valid driving license is required.

Additional Information

In return we can offer you a great set of benefits which includes;

  • 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years service) + bank holidays.
  • A great flexible working environment, with a range of family friendly policies
  • Great new comfortable and modern offices
  • A huge scope of personal development opportunities
  • A very attractive pension scheme & healthcare benefits as well
  • For the more active minded we also offer a “cycle to work” scheme
