Direct Appointments is working in partnership with a leading engineering and automation company based near Derby and Northampton and who are recruiting a number of permanent Junior Systems Engineers.
As a Junior Systems Engineer you will report into the Operations Director and you will ensure:
• Direct liaison with customers.
• Preparation of control system design, build and testing specifications and O & M manuals to the required standard.
• Design and testing of control systems in accordance with agreed specifications, applicable standards and legislative requirements.
• Onsite commissioning and testing of control systems adhering to site regulations
• Provide technical input for system build and installation personnel.
• Ensure that all-relevant Health and Safety Procedures are adhered to.
• Contribute to all business and health & safety initiatives including quality/safety/audits in line with current Legislative standards and Codes of Practice.
• Maintain company records & follow all relevant business procedures.
• Carry out other duties as required and appropriate to the role.
As a Junior Systems Engineer you will demonstrate the following qualifications:
• High level of ability to understand and produce control system design documents.
• Good understanding of technical project life cycle.
As a Junior Systems Engineer you will demonstrate the following Key Personal Competencies:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good time management skills, and be able to demonstrate a structured and methodical approach to work load.
• A highly self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with good team working skills.
• Good aptitude to learn from and influence others with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential.
