Agricultural Technician - Huntingdon
Quattro Recruitment are on the hunt for an Agricultural Technician to join our well-established client based local to Huntingdon. The role will involve performing diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned equipment, including tractors, combine harvesters, and construction equipment.
Role details:
- Based local to Huntingdon, in Cambridgeshire
- Salary ranges from GBP20k-GBP37k (including overtime) depending on experience
- Hours will general be 8am-5.30pm, Monday - Friday, with one in three Saturdays (generous overtime paid)
- A van and all fuel will be provided, including to get to/from your own home to site
Duties of the Agricultural Technician:
• Performs diagnostics and repairs on Agricultural Construction equipment, including AMS products.
• Completes all reports and administration required for work assignments (ie. job cards, DTAC cases, time sheets, etc.).
• Maintains a clean work station, assists with overall workshop organisation and correct use of tools and vehicles.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Participates in Service Training Certification programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field when required.
• Performs pre-delivery set up on new or used equipment.
• Supports Service Specialists when required.
• Mentors apprentices.
Experience Required:
- You have experience as an Agricultural Technician or similar (you must have experience of servicing machinery such as tractors, combines, sprayers, cranes, etc.)
- Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following approved technical procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems to effect the repair of equipment
- Good customer relationship skills
- Driving licence and FLT licence would be beneficial but is not essential
- The ability to get to the site, based local to Huntingdon, either by public transport or if you have a license, a van will be provided.
