Search is pleased to be supporting a global brand and leader in their field to source an RGN status Occupational Health Advisor (part-time) for the business.
Operating in a mixed blue collar and head office environment, in the position of Occupational Health Advisor you will be responsible for all occupational health matters and guidance for the Liverpool facility in a growth role for the business.
The business operates a multi-disciplined workforce from blue collar operatives to white collar regional head office administrators, back office functions and management teams. Reporting to the Senior HR Generalist, you will be responsible for the following:
• Ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities for health surveillance.
• Arrange, promote and co-ordinate a series of health promotion campaigns.
• Provide health education through written communication and participation in training sessions
• Investigate the root cause of major work-related health issues and identify improvement measures to promote health.
• Conduct pre-employment health screening to ensure fitness for work within the scope of relevant legislation and framework for best practice.
• Provide employee and management support regarding short and long term ill-health and absence.
• Identify employees with health problems and introduce appropriate measures to reduce the impact of work on their health condition.
• Establish the health indexing process and benchmark severity of health
This is a fast-paced growing environment with a strong national retail brand. The Occupational Health Advisor will work closely with the Human Resources dept and with Operational Line Management but will also be autonomous across the business. To be successful in this position you will be expected to reduce time lost from work due to ill health, ensure compliance with statutory health surveillance, and prevent work related illnesses. You will be expected to work Monday and one or two other days on a pro-rate basis. You will possess RGN status plus a recognised Occupational Health qualification.
In return, the company offers a comprehensive generous pro-rata salary of GBP40000 per annum plus the following benefits:
