HGV Drivers Class 1 (C+E) & Class 2 (C) Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
Package: Circa 34K per annum (dependant on role and experience) + Benefits
S & J Haulage Ltd is a well-established & growing specialist logistics organisation based in Leicestershire who provide a delivery network/Pallet distribution service throughout the UK.
We are immediately filling driver roles for our team in Melton Mowbray and encourage those who may be qualified to apply. S & J European Haulage offers very competitive salaries and benefits in an extremely active environment.
Working from our base in Melton Mowbray the purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate, safe and timely deliveries to our customers throughout the UK. In the role, you will be responsible for:
In the role, you will be responsible for: HGV Drivers Class 1 (C+E) & Class 2 (C) Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
• Deliveries locally & throughout UK
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure prior to leaving depot to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, and the load is safe and secure
• Comply with all transport legislation including working time regulations and tachograph law
• Ensure all legal documentation is signed and correct before leaving the customer's premise
• Maintain communication with the depot to advice of any issues or delays to your deliveries, or any unsuccessful deliveries.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Class 1 ( C+E ) - The successful candidate will possess a full LGV C+E (Class 1) license ideally with no penalty points and be a current Driver CPC holder.
Due to nature of the deliveries, you may also be required to drive smaller category vehicles on occasion - LGV C (Class 2).
Class 2 ( C ) - The successful candidate will possess a full LGV C (Class 2) license ideally with no penalty points and be a current Driver CPC holder.
You must have good geographic knowledge of UK and ideally you will have at least some current driving experience with HGV's, but newly qualified Class 1 or 2 drivers will be considered, and the company is commitment to training developing drivers (assisting Class 2 driver to move to Class 2)
You will be self-motivated, able to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers alike whilst working to achieve daily targets and deadlines.
