This is a rare opportunity to join a hugely exciting Global business which is focused entirely on the marketing and events industry within the travel sector. The company's portfolio includes high profile international events, media and online businesses. The company organises and operates world-renowned events across the globe. We are now looking for a new Account Manager to join a growing team.
Main responsibilities:
* To secure immediate renewals for current subscription contracts through telephone sales, face to face sales meetings, product demonstrations and through meetings at trade events.
* To build positive customer relationships, providing the right balance between good customer service and account development
* To secure new customer sales of the subscriptions and related data reports through telephone sales, face to face sales meetings, product demonstrations and through meetings at trade events.
* To gather customer insight to input into product development forums
* To generate referrals for other potential products and service sales
* To achieve and exceed challenging revenue targets.
* To provide continuous progress reporting on qualified lead generated sales pipeline.
* Develop a timetable driven plan to ensure that sales management is organised, reflecting the calendar of training and industry events and the knowledge of existing and prospective client budgeting and procurement cycles
* To liaise with the Marketing team to ensure effective marketing campaigns are in place in support of sales.
* To understand and work within the company's sales excellence framework, ensuring deeper understanding of customer issues and providing true valuable solutions for them.
* To maintain the database of qualified lead target contact details and dialogue status.
* Be willing and able to travel overseas and represent them in client meetings and at trade events
Skills and Experience
* B2B sales experience
* Background in IT sales, software, solution sales, aviation or similar
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ambitious and commission driven
