We are seeking a customer order picker for a plant nursery in Hertford. The role will include selecting & collating nursery stock to fulfil customer orders accurately & with attention to plant quality and specific customer requirements and deadlines. The job will be Monday ot Friday working a 37.5 hour week.
Job Responsibilities:
Collate orders with reference to specific customer requirements.
Packing and loading of plants prior to collection or dispatch with attention to preserving the quality of the order.
Updating computer records to reflect the state of orders due for collection or dispatch.
Communication of any shortfalls in stock or quality issues to the relevant salesperson.
Meeting customer deadlines for order collections and deliveries.
Assist with the maintenance and welfare of orders waiting for delivery or collection.
You will need to communicate information regarding shortages and quality issues to the salespeople and/ or Customer Orders Team Leader or Customer Orders Nurseryman. There is a requirement to update the computer system with relevant details and to relay information verbally to appropriate members of staff. You will be exposed at times to inclement weather conditions such as rain or cold. Heavy lifting may be involved.

You will be expected to work with Customer Orders Operatives and the Customer Orders Team Leader.

You will need to communicate information regarding shortages and quality issues to the sales people and/ or Customer Orders Team Leader or Customer Orders Nurseryman. There is a requirement to update the computer system with relevant details and to relay information verbally to appropriate members of staff.
Physical Working Conditions and Environment
You will be based at the nursery, Letty Green and may be expected to visit the nursery at Birch Green. You will be exposed at times to inclement weather conditions such as rain or cold.
