Mae Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru’n un o lyfrgelloedd mawr y byd. Bwriadwn benodi Prif Weithredwr a Llyfrgellydd newydd a fydd yn cynnig arweinyddiaeth ysbrydoledig a dynamig i barhau a’n cynlluniau i ddatblygu’r defnydd o’n casgliadau a’n gwasanaethau, traddodiadol a digidol, gan y gynulleidfa ehangaf posibl.

Fel Prif Weithredwr a Llyfrgellydd, bydd gennych record arbennig o reoli ac arwain mewn sectorau preifat neu gyhoeddus perthnasol. Yn ogystal â gwerthfawrogi’r materion sy’n wynebu llyfrgelloedd yn y dyfodol, dylech ddangos empathi cryf tuag at weledigaeth y Llyfrgell a gallu gweithio o fewn amgylchedd gwleidyddol ac ariannol heriol.

Mae Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru’n sefydliad cwbl ddwyieithog, ac mae’r rhan fwyaf o’i phrosesau mewnol a’i chysylltiadau allanol yn digwydd trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg.

The National Library of Wales is one of the world’s great libraries. We are seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive and Librarian who will provide inspiring and dynamic leadership in taking forward our plans to develop the use of our collections and services, both traditional and digital, by the widest possible audience.

As Chief Executive and Librarian, you will have an outstanding record of management and leadership in relevant private or public sectors. Together with a strong appreciation of the issues facing libraries in the future, you should demonstrate a strong empathy with the Library’s vision and will be able to work within a challenging political and financial environment.

The National Library of Wales is a thoroughly bilingual institution, the majority of its key internal processes and external relationships are conducted through the medium of Welsh.
