Commercial Manager x5

Our client a defence organisation are looking for 5 Commercial Managers on an initial 12 month contract based in Portsmouth.

You will be responsible Providing procurement and commercial service [within delegated authority limits] ensuring contracts and suppliers meet the clients requirements for operational and contractual delivery. Managing procurements through the development and implementation of effective contracts with appropriate suppliers, considering internal needs and supply market characteristics. Using a range of EU compliant procurement routes and tools as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have Knowledge in the following; Contracting and procurement in the Defence and Security Environment, contracting for research, working knowledge of DSPCR and/or PCR, OJEU Experience would be beneficial. Proven track record in managing many stakeholders to provide resolutions to contractual issues. Experience of successfully delivering effective supply chain management. Must hold valid SC Clearance as the client would need the successful candidate to start ASAP. Candidates MUST have worked for within the Defence area within the last 3 years or alternatively Central Government.
