Analytical Chemist - GC-MS

An expanding food testing laboratory are looking for an analytical chemist to join their team. You will specialise in GC-MS analysis of food related pesticides. You must hold a BSc in Chemistry or related subject and strong practical and theoretical knowledge of GC-MS to apply for this role.

Responsibilities -

• Preparation of samples
• GC-MS analysis of food pesticides
• Troubleshooting
• Analysis and reporting of data
• Managing analytical workload
• Ensure results are completed to deadlines
• Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience -

• BSc in Chemistry or related subject
• Strong background in the use of GC-MS analysis of food pesticides
• Experience with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of GC-MS systems
• Experience in a fast-paced commercial analytical testing laboratory

As this is a new facility you will initially be working alone so need to be well versed in your GC-MS experience.
