Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Taylor Rose are currently working with a reputable and progressive firm of chartered accountants in Lewes who, as a result of continued growth, are now seeking to recruit an ambitious Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to join their team.
The successful individual will undertake a varied role in which the workload will primarily consist of the preparation of year-end accounts, assisting on audits, tax compliance and management accounts preparation .
This role would be ideally suited to an ambitious Semi Senior / Trainee Accountant with practice experience, who is keen to develop their career within a leading regional firm of accountants.
The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified or may have already started studying towards the ACA or ACCA qualifications. Whilst prior audit experience isn't essential the successful applicant will ideally come from a practice background and will have experience of carrying out a varied general practice role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Attending and assisting with audits including planning, field work and stock takes
Year-end statutory accounts preparation
Preparation of corporation tax rcomputations
Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns
Management accounts preparation
Preparation of forecasts
Skills:
AAT Qualified or ACA / ACCA Part Qualified
Experience of working in practice is essential
Experience of assisting on Audit assignments would be beneficial
