Due to the structured increase in growth our client is now seeking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Engineer.
* You will be responsible for improving and defining new processes for product release to manufacture.
* Managing cost improvement objectives and technical support of the operational function.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to manufacturing with respect to product/process design and functionality.
* Provide manufacturing engineering support with NPI projects.
* Drive implementation and maintenance of LEAN and CI practices across the organisation.
* Resolve issues with manufacturing when product quality risks are identified.
* Support the training of new and existing processes, raising training and process corrective actions with manufacturing when required.
* Support best practice operational process for clean rooms.
* Support Product Configuration (currently PCR) and engineering change processes.
* Support Quality, Supply Chain & Manufacturing Managers ensuring all aspects of the business support the needs of our customers.
* Participate in regular performance reviews and set personnel objectives in line with the business strategy.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Understand all business system tools and ensure correct implementation by Manufacturing Engineering personnel.
* Have awareness of scorecard KPIs, understand how Manufacturing Engineering actions and strategy effects site performance.
* Have an understanding of STG strategy and objectives, and the timelines for delivery of new products to the site.
* Knowledge of H&S to a level where issues can be highlighted and managed by the appropriate personnel.
* Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Continual Improvement strategy.
