ART GALLERY MANAGER - COMTEMPORARY ART SALES

This is a very exciting career opportunity! My client, an extremely successful and prestigious art publishing company, is looking to hire a dynamic art consultant to promote and sell their artwork in their superb Newbury Gallery. You will have proven target driven sales experience, and an engaging personality enabling you to connect with people, and build an instant rapport.

Based in the gallery, this consultative role will involve confident gallery sales with clients, coupled with a thorough understanding of the company and their truly stunning art work. Overall, other than delivering sales, you will also work directly with the gallery manager, providing general support including the preparation for exhibitions and private views.

Responsibilities

1/ Greeting gallery walk-in visitors and selling to clients, providing a professional and personal service.

2/ Meeting monthly sales targets (combining footfall, CRM, and proactive sales) and adding value to the company.

3/ Morning gallery setup and upkeep to a very high standard.

4/ Keeping galley stock information up to date.

5/ Assisting with ad-hoc and exhibition events organisation for the gallery including some evening events.

Required skills and experience:

1/ Hardworking and sales-driven - respond well to sales targets

2/ Friendly, polite and welcoming nature.

4/ Art knowledge or a strong interest in learning (full art training given)

5/ Self-motivated

6/ Computer literate

Weekend work is part of this role. The advertised OTE is realistic and includes a very good basic salary. There are career progression opportunities for the most successful consultants.
