Electronics Production Technician
Electronics Production Engineer
Location: North Hertfordshire
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electronics Test and Production Engineer who will be reporting to the Quality Manager. The successful candidate will have the ability to design test equipment for both mechanical, electronic and pneumatic sector. You will be able to read and create drawings as well as use fault finding equipment such as Multimeter or Scope. In addition, you will provide technical support and training to production staff when required.
Required skills and experience:
Experience within the production environment and handle day-to-day engineering issues
* Experience of working with the manufacturing and production teams to solve problems as well on the new and existing products
* Provide a production input into the Design process.
* Experience in the measurement of product performance and implement improvements.
* Ability to take ownership of cost and value improvements within cells, including evaluating and the procurement.
* Ability to set up and maintain planned maintenance for production equipment and jigs.
* Conduct Failure Analysis to reduce failure and costs.
* Help to reduce time and wastage, liaising closely with the Production Planning Manager.
Additional duties:
* Process planning for units in production and units being introduced
* Ability to cost justify investments.
* Conduct time and motion studies to help streamline all areas of the production process.
