ACCOUNTS MANAGER

We are a national flooring contractor, specialising in Terrazzo and Industrial flooring, looking to appoint an Accounts Manager to join our team based in Altrincham. The position can be either Full Time or substantial Part Time hours.

Reporting to the Accountant, the Accounts Manager will manage the day to day running of the Purchase and Subcontract Ledgers and Payroll. Experience in the construction industry and of the CIS scheme is essential. Experience of Sage Payroll, Sage 200 (or similar) and Construction For Sage is required.  An AAT or similar qualification is desirable but not required.

The role requires a pro-active and flexible approach and the ability to respond to the needs of the business. Strong analytical skills are required to maintain current reports and processes and develop new procedures as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices ensuring accurate job and nominal costing
  • Reconcile and pay supplier accounts
  • Resolve supplier queries
  • Process and pay Subcontractors in line with the CIS Scheme
  • Develop and build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Complete Monthly CIS Returns to HMRC
  • Process weekly payroll for operatives
  • Verify all plant hire costs using in house documentation
  • Process staff and operative expenses
  • Provide support in Accountant’s absence, tasks include: bank reconciliation, credit control, credit insurance checks, fleet vehicle maintenance, respond to all Directors’ queries
  • Liaise with IT Consultants to upgrade, maintain and renew computer hardware and software
  • Ad hoc cost reviews and tasks as necessary

Offer:

£22,000 - £26,000 dependent upon experience
