SOS recruitment are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Assistant/Administrator to join our well-established client based in Aylesbury!

Location: Aylesbury!

Salary: GBP7.50 to GBP10.00 per hour

Hours: Full Time

Temporary Contract: 35 hours per week

Job role:

To provide effective and efficient administrative support and assistance to respective HR Business Partners and wider HR team. To contribute to the delivery of a high-quality HR function in line with HR strategy and policy

Provide basic advice on the policies and procedures to staff and managers and be the first point of contact for general HR enquiries.

Accountabilities & Activities:

Recruitment and Resourcing

* Supporting HRBP's in the attraction, welcoming and retention of talent by providing administrative support in line with the agreed policy, outsourced partners and workforce plans.
* Liaising with the outsourced recruitment provider and recruitment manager, working alongside the HRBP's in delivering an excellent on-boarding service by providing guidance and administrative support as required.
* Sourcing and consolidating management information to assist HRBP's with workforce planning.
* Monitoring, co-ordination and auditing of right to work checks, and the recording of all relevant information on the HR system; processing of associated checks through the Employee Checking Service.
* Processing of external reference requests and other requests for information.

Employee and Industrial Relations

* To be the first point of contact in providing general HR advice to relevant Managers, in line with relevant policies and procedures.
* Probation monitoring in conjunction with Line Managers/HRBP's.
* Process, report and co-ordinate referrals to Occupational Health and Counselling, checking of associated invoices and recording of all relevant information on the HR system and log.
* Support the internal communication process in a range of people engagement strategies by carrying out administrative tasks where required.
* Keep up to date with, and share new legislation, guidance and best practice when appropriate.
* Co-ordinating effectively the Disciplinary and Grievance procedures, ensuring all communications and correspondence are issued in a timely manner and in accordance with policy.
* Contribute by supporting HRBP's in the delivery of people engagement initiatives.

Reward Management

* Co-ordinating, scheduling and collating relevant information to enable HRBP's to manage the job evaluation and benchmarking process within the Trust.
* Assisting the HRBP's in ensuring the Annual Salary Review and Performance Based Pay process is delivered efficiently and on time across respective client groups.
* Liaising directly with the Payroll Team ensuring colleagues are both correctly paid and on time. Contribute to reviewing and updating processes from time to time in order to improve and maintain effective service.

Performance Management

* Working with HRBP's to produce and develop tools to effectively manage performance.
* Support the HRBP's by producing relevant materials when designing and delivering specific Training and Development programmes.

Change and Project Management

* Working with the HRPB's providing support in restructuring/change initiatives ensuring effective co-ordination and transactional activities.
* Contribute to the HR Function in achieving its strategic objectives as outlined in the HR Business Plan.

General

* Support the HRBP's in the implementation of key people management/HR processes within designated business areas (Performance Management, Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution, Succession Planning, Compensation and Benefits, Policies and Procedures and Employment Legislation).
* Ensure high levels of performance are achieved, KPIs are delivered and resources effectively utilised.
* Ensure transactional activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations and general duty of care.
* Administration and note-taking for HR led meetings as and when required.
* Undertaking any other duties consistent with the business

Ideally you will have

* Two years proven HR Advisory/administration experience in a fast-paced environment.

* Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Basic understanding of HR processes and procedures.
* Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint) with data entry experience.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, persuade and influence at all levels both internally and externally.
* Able to effectively prioritise and plan own workload in a high volume, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
* Able to collate, review and interpret information.
* Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Enthusiastic, flexible and self-reliant.
* Proven ability to successfully work with a high level of initiative and confident decision making.
* Demonstrable creative problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team within broad policy and professional standards.
* Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* The Post Holder may be expected at times, to travel to regionally based Homes and offices to meet the requirements of the role and will require access to their own vehicle.
* Experience of working with computerised personnel records
* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
* Knowledge of Social Care Industry.
