Are you BOHS P401 qualified lab technician seeking a new challenge?
A UKAS accredited multi-disciplinary consultancy are on the lookout for fully qualified Asbestos Laboratory Technicians to join their lively team at their Southern base!
Due to gaining multiple contracts across the South East, they are now seeking a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Technician to support the existing team to help deliver asbestos analysis services to the company's existing and new clients.
As a laboratory technician you will support the business in delivering services to clients, your principal role will be to book in samples and sample data, analysis of samples, assisting in the weekly running of the laboratory and production of certificates to UKAS accredited standards.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Carrying out analysis of collected samples
* Data input of all results collected using TEAMS software
* Producing asbestos analysis reports
* Calibration of equipment and maintain equipment and tools
* Maintaining a good working knowledge of the health and safety legislation in relation to asbestos and the Quality Manual
* Proactively engage In training and development provided by the company
* Work within the company's policies and procedures at all times
Essential Requirements:
* Scientific/Maths A-levels, or science HND.
* P401 qualification
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
* 2 years' experience of working in UKAS accredited laboratory
* Excellent team player
* Ability to concentrate for long periods at a time
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to manage own load, work under pressure and to multiple deadlines
