Children's Support Worker - Refuge
Women's Aid provide support and accommodation for families who are needing to get away from violent partners.
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to champion a high quality, comprehensive service for children who are living in the refuge and who have experienced domestic abuse.
The applicant will develop and manage the children’s room and it’s activities along with two other staff. They will be jointly responsible for implementing a varied and structured programme of activities for children and families of all ages.
The applicant must have relevant qualifications and experience in child or family work. The applicant must also have excellent knowledge of children’s regulations, child protection and neglect issues and experience of working with children experiencing behavioural and emotional difficulties.
The applicants must also be available and flexible during school holiday times.
