The apprentice will receive support in order to learn and develop within the role.

Tasks:

- Assist with general repairs and servicing

- Assist with diagnostics

- Assist with tyre fitting

- Ensure compliance with H&S responsibilities

- Assist with keeping the place tidy

30 hours per week, hours varying from: Monday to Friday, between 7.30 am and 5.30 pm and Saturdays between 7.30 am and 12.30 pm.

Training to be Provided:

The Apprenticeship programme enables candidates to work towards a framework of qualifications, as follows:

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair competence

Level 2 VRQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair knowledge

Level 1 Functional Skills in Math, English and ICT

Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)

Expected Duration:

2 years

Skills Required:

Good English communication skills, computer literate.

Qualifications Required:

Personal Qualities:

Very punctual, polite, trustworthy and with a sense of humour.

Future Prospects:

A full time position or progression onto a level 3 apprenticeship.

The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is GBP3.70 per hour effective from 1st April 2018. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
