About the Role: 

City of Bristol College is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Lecturer to teach Theatrical and Media Make up Artistry. This position is part time, will be based at Ashley Down and SBSA This is an excellent opportunity to join or further your career in a successful Department.

A recognised vocational qualification is essential and a teaching qualification would be advantageous although not essential as training will be given.

What you’ll be responsible for/what we are looking for:

The role will involve Teaching of Theatrical & Media Make-up at Level 3

We are looking for someone with experience of the following specialist knowledge in:-

  • Industry knowledge
  • Practical experience in Prosthetics
  • Airbrushing
  • Fantasy hair design
  • Period hairstyling
  • Wig making
  • Body painting 
  • You will be confident in working in a fast paced environment, with changing priorities. 

You will also need to be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, at all levels, internally and externally, as well as other members of College staff and students.
