Our client, a well know organisation in the area, is now looking to appoint a Volunteer Manager to lead on the continued development of their volunteer programme, identifying new opportunities to grow the number of volunteers and ensure the right policies and procedures are in place.
You will lead on the recruitment, induction, training, management and retention of volunteers so volunteers can be effective in supporting the volunteer requirements of the Charity.
Skills & Experience required
• A minimum 3 years' experience in recruiting volunteers, as well as skilled in all aspects of induction, development and mentoring of volunteers and performance management
• Experience of managing a team, setting objectives and KPIs
• Up to date knowledge of current legislation and developments relating to volunteering
• Good understanding of social media.
• Knowledge and experience of using CRM systems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people
• Confident presenter and public speaker
• Excellent interpersonal skills, having empathy with volunteers and an understanding of their needs
• A good team worker, who can build effective internal relationships
• Strong administration and IT skills, and an ability to maintain records and produce clear written and oral reports
• Experience of using Donorflex CRM system.
• Developing and implementing volunteer strategies
• Budget management
Salary is circa: GBP25,000 dependent upon experience.
