We are looking for a customer focused team player that can work independently for a company based just outside Cambridge to provide product and application support for a product range.Responsibilities* Take ownership of a number of products providing technical support from product conception, development, validation, and introduction to support after launch* Investigate and evaluate supplier* Provide sales channel and project training to facilitate the introduction and enhance sales capabilities* Drive product and related applications development plan* Develop applications for use of allocated products to widen teams' scope for sales* Produce, approve and release commercial bulletins for new products* Complete all necessary documentation to allow the product to be active on the system* Define, agree and monitor the deliverables with product suppliers for existing product updates and concepts* Outline, manage and undertake any tests or validation to prove a products viability / compatibility or performance* Where appropriate, technically prove new products in the target applications (Working with sales channel and where required on the appropriate customer site)* Work with the other teams to ensure we standardise all documentation and procedures* Follow the PCP process when required, attending all relevant meetings* Provide feedback to assist in the continual development of products* Provide expertise in existing and future products* Assist with the completion and production of product materials including accessory guides, brochures, and spare parts lists. Update product configurators* Maintain an Engineering Project priorities list, defining development team's priorities* Ensure that all customer requests (internal and external) are professionally handled, scheduled and acted upon* Provide an escalation conduit for the business to our product suppliers both internal and external for both sales and technical enquiries* Support and facilitate product support meetings* Ensure that work is in line with all internal operational processes* Support product enquiries from Technical and Commercial teams* Manage product quality issues* Produce, approve and release technical documentation* Maintain and update information on the company website.* Use individual skills to develop and produce any tools or product enhancements that will benefit the business.Requirements* Degree level education needed (HND minimum)* Technical experience in the Digital inkjet printing industry * Product engineering* Experience in the commercial printing business.* Involvement with the introduction of new products to the field* Inkjet fundamentals, Inks, Curing, Dyne level and substrates.* PDF, IPDS, IJPDS* All round engineering skills, Electronics, software and mechanical.* Microsoft Products including Windows and Office products - Good user level* PC based controller and Variable data printing systems.* General PC and Networking.* Report Writing* Second language* Able to prioritise actions based on various complex requirements from different customers* Able to communicate and demonstrate business deliverables to both commercial and technical support operations* Energy* Initiating Action* Work Standards* Directing* Planning* Listening and Empathy* Networking* Negotiating
