Hull College Group is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 students every year.

We are looking to appoint a College Counsellor to join us for 1 day a week, term time only; 6 hours a week for 36 weeks of the year.

Within the role you will deliver a quality cross-college, professional, impartial and confidential counselling service to students and staff in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and Hull College Group procedures. Working with a wide range of issues including bereavement, mental health and wellbeing, personal stress and relationships, you will contribute to the evaluation and development of the service, ensuring a quality service is provided that is responsive to the needs of the Client.

We are looking for someone who has a qualification in Counselling at Diploma Level, and ideally Degree Level. With BACP Accreditation or equivalent (or eligibility for working towards this) you will have significant experience and understanding of providing a professional counselling service, preferably in an educational environment with young people or adults.

Proficient in the use of office technology, including work processing, databases and spreadsheets, you will be a good communicator who can identify additional student needs, including safeguarding.
