De Lacy Executive is looking to recruit a Trials Officer in Norfolk for a principle research organisation. We are seeking a conscientious and enthusiastic person to join the field trials team. The successful candidate will report to the Trials Manager and hold key relationships with team members, farmers, contractors and suppliers. The team is responsible for establishing, managing and harvesting a range of field trials, equipment maintenance and reporting results.
Applicants must have a good standard of secondary education and a full UK driving licence. Tractor driving experience along with Pesticide application, forklift, ATV and workshop skills certificates are required for the job, however training will be provided where necessary.
The salary is dependent on experience and qualifications with the potential to progress to a position of trials manager upon completion of a formal training programme.
Requirements:
- Ability to work both supervised and unsupervised.
- Attention to detail.
- Willing to work extended working hours with nights away when required.
- Problem solving and ability to use initiative.
- IT literate.
- Time management skills.
- Some work based knowledge of agriculture and/or research trials
