Head of Fundraising
Pirbright
£35,000-£40,000 per annum
Full time (although could consider 4 days per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team to lead and develop our charitable income generation. You will be responsible for creating a high performing fundraising programme that enables us to deliver major donor support and secure long term funding. You will also lead a team of fundraisers in generating maximum income from companies, trusts and members through grant funding proposals, sponsorship and appeals.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of budgeting and fundraising strategies. A confident leader, you will have a track record of effectively managing a team and successfully securing high level donations.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle as you will be required to visit other Trust locations, donor homes and offices.
Surrey Wildlife Trust is dedicated to protecting Surrey’s wildlife. We are one of the largest wildlife trusts in England and manage nearly 5% of the total area of the county, playing an important role in advocating for biodiversity in the area. We face challenging and exciting times. As the UK leaves the EU, we expect significant shifts in environmental protection and funding. Our 2017 report on the State of Surrey’s Nature revealed that one third of species in our county are either extinct or threatened. At the same time, the Trust is about to embark on an ambitious five-year strategy that is designed to have maximum impact on biodiversity in Surrey. We continue to develop our range of professional and consumer services that support our environmental and fund-raising objectives.
