Our client is a state of the art manufacturer in the security industry and are currently looking for an experience material planner.
The main aim of the role is to maintain and manage the production / manufacturing schedules and procurement of 3rd party materials and services via MRP system.
In addition, the succesful applicant will create, control and maintain inventory levels for materials, direct consumables and made in house or purchased SKU.
A large part of the role involves the manipulation, recording, updating and amending of data on their MRP system in order to generate works orders and pick lists.
Therefore, strong IT skills are necessary particularly on Excel, with good attention to detail and accurate keyboard skills. Knowledge of Navision would be a distinct advantage but good knowledge of any MRP systems would be sufficient.
This is a fast paced, busy environment and would suit applicants from a similar manufacturing background
