If you are an experienced Chef de Partie with a passion for cooking and looking for an opportunity to escape the big smoke this summer, we have a cracking opportunity for you which includes free accommodation. Our client is a very popular country house hotel on the outskirts of Fort William in the heart of the Highlands. As you can imagine, the tourist season is kicking into full swing with the schools out for summer, and the weather hotter than Tenerife! The kitchen is very busy right now and needs extra support with its popular Bar & Bistro menu, which has a range of traditional offerings with a modern twist. We are looking for a Chef de Partie who can slot into the team for the summer season with a potential for longer-term opportunities. You will receive free accommodation as well as a competitive GBP10 per hour, therefore, you will have ample opportunity to savour the brilliant summer we are having in one of the most stunning and picturesque locations in the country.

About the Job

As Chef De Partie, in this role, you will assist and support the Head Chef/Sous Chef in delivering the food and beverage offering to achieve the required financial targets. You will also be expected to maintain exceptional performance standards through the effective use of kitchen resources and ensuring consistency in quality and value. The guest experience is paramount, and we would expect you to be setting a great example for the junior members of the kitchen to ensure that company standards and statutory obligations are maintained. By the same token, you will have a great support network within the team and the wider hotel to ensure that you learn and progress in your career as a Chef. For example, your role will enable you to take ownership of a specific section, ensuring that all food outputs are of a suitably high standard.

About the Person

To succeed as a Chef de Partie, you will most likely have successfully operated in a variety of different kitchen environments with varying priorities and challenges at different points during your shift. Success in this position will be determined by your attitude, reliability and the ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment. You will also most likely have a natural confidence with a good attention to detail and warm personality, and above all a passion and enthusiasm for cooking.

The salary package for the Chef de Partie position is GBP10 per-hour + free accommodation at the hotel.
