Commis Chef- London Heathrow
GBP9.50/hr
Logic 360 is currently recruiting for Commis Chefs to work for one of our client based at London Heathrow who is specialist in out-of-home food service and multi-sector catering including inflight, rail and group catering.
As a Commis Chef, you will be working as a part of the team in a fast-moving kitchen, assisting and reporting to Head and Sous Chef.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Commis Chef you will be required to confidently learn and create dishes using company specifications. Some duties are as follows:
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the Head / Sous Chef.
* Assist with stock taking when required.
* Carry out the smooth and efficient running of kitchen department as appropriate.
* Assist other team members when necessary.
* Ensure stock, deliveries and wastage are all checked and recorded in line with company and food standards.
* To adhere to the company's Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and environmental policies.
* To ensure that food storage areas are maintained in accordance with the company's Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
* Complete all relevant paperwork within specified standards and timeframes.
* Maintain the highest standards of food safety and health and safety at all times.
* Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
* All applicants must have right to work in UK
* Complete 5 years' reference check is required
* Clean criminal record and willingness to apply for Criminal Record Check
* Minimum 1 years' experience in catering is desirable with understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
* Must have excellent communication skills
* Must be a good team player with ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Must have good knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene.
* Must be willing to undergo relevant training as required
The ideal candidates will be flexible to work additional hours if required including weekends, bank holidays and evenings
