Tradewind recruitment are on the lookout for individuals with SEN experience to work with service users (adults and children) at a specialist service based in the Scarborough area. The setting caters for individuals with a range of disabilities from SpLD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH and ASC and provides them with a caring and enjoyable environment to develop key skills. Through a range of workshops they get the chance to engage with peers and other individuals with additional needs to work together to develop new life skills whilst having fun.
The setting aims to provide an individualised approach offering each service user both challenges and rewards in a fully inclusive environment, where they feel safe and engaged. As a Support Worker you will work 1:1, 2:1 or as part of a small group catering for individuals specific needs. You will be responsible for promoting social interaction and independence, including participation in trips and visits into the local community, whilst assisting them with life skills. Therefore the ideal candidate will have experience of the following:
•Personal Care
•SEN
•Confidence building
•Developing Independence
•Developing creative Learning Activities
Whilst experience working within a similar role would be ideal it is not essential due to the varied background and needs of the individuals. The staff team has a variety of care and educational experience in order to support the fully inclusive setting.
