A Special Educational Needs school near Frome are looking for a passionate and positive SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with complex and severe learning difficulties. You will focus on enabling your pupils to access an interactive and practical curriculum to improve their life and social skills and meet their learning and development needs. Initially this will be on a temporary basis but could lead to more permanent work

Your responsibilities will include:
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with pupils
-Providing feedback to teacher on students' progress and development
-Creating a secure and positive classroom environment
-Supervising and monitoring behaviour
-Following the individual learning plans set by the teacher

-Be able to build positive and appropriate relationships with students and teachers
-Have a passion for working with SEN children
