Bench Carpenter Joiner

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working on behalf of a well established manufacturing / fit out business, recruiting for experienced time serveda Bench Carpenter Joiners / Carpenters to join the onsite fitting out team.

These are key roles cutting & shaping the raw materials, as well as carrying out 1st fix (structural) & 2nd fix works (finishing), reading & working from schematic diagrams, producing high end finishes.

These positions offer a variety of work, producing bespoke products working to the customers requirements, allowing you to fully utilise your carpentry / joinery skills & allowing you to use your creative flair.

Ideally you will come from a; shop fitting, commercial fit out, industrial fit out, kitchen fitting, bedroom wardrobe fitting, park & leisure home manufacturing, prefabricated building, new home build or similar background due to the nature of the work.

These roles require the proficient use of a number of hand tools & power tools.

Regular daily & weekend overtime is available paid at x1.5 hourly rate (Mon - Sat) & x2 rate for Sundays & Bank Holidays, giving you the potential to substantially increase your earnings further, in addition to this there is also a 15% annual bonus scheme too (set against your basic salary & against certain target criteria).

Carpenter Duties:

* Preparation / cutting of raw materials

* 1st & 2nd fixing

* Diverse duties working on; Structures, Framework, Trusses, Door Frames, Skirting, Door Hanging, Bathroom Fitting, Kitchen Fitting, Bedroom Wardrobe Fitting, Furniture, Flooring, Ceilings & more

* Be a proficient user of a full range of hand and power tools to cut and shape materials

* Follow schematics to meet the requirements of the boat layout

* Experienced in working with high quality materials

Experience, Skills & Qualification Requirements:

* Shop fitting, Kitchen Fitting, Bedroom Fitting, Park & Leisure Home, New Build experience would be advantageous for these positions due to the complexities

* NVQ L2 or NVQ L3 in Carpentry & Joinery or time served in a comparable role

* Experienced in working on an array of fit outs, finishes & builds previously at pace

* Experienced in working on large scale projects, as well as intricate projects

* Focused on quality of workmanship & customer care

* Eye for detail ensuring a high end perfect finish

* Adaptable to duties

* Strong work ethic
