My client, a local charitable organisation is looking for a Housing Benefits & Rents Assistant in the Greater Manchester area, to join them permanently. The role is offered on a full time basis Monday to Friday.
As a Housing Benefits & Rents Assistant you will provide high quality support within the department and have a solid understanding of processing benefit claims.
The main duty of this role is to assist with matters, monitor progression of housing benefit claims and working on a focused case load. You will work closely with appointees for new and existing customers, undertake rent adjustments using housing benefit software and investigate arrears and conclude to payment.
It is essential that you have experience of working with housing benefit arrears, at least two year's experience working within a welfare benefit and housing environment.
In return they can offer a competitive salary and annual bonus scheme, 35 hour working week, 25 days leave (plus bank holidays) and free on-site staff parking.
