The Role of Field Service Engineer:
As a field service engineer, you are based in the south of the UK, covering from Oxford, down to the south coast. You will be involved in the service/ppm (40%), installation (20%), and reactive maintenance (40%) on a range of high-end electron microscopes. They are found within the research, hospital, and high-tech manufacturing sectors, such as aerospace and F1, alongside the nuclear industry. Every day will be different as you are working on the forefront of technology; some units cost up to GBP3million. There will be training in Japan, alongside travel to Israel. There will be a degree of basic report writing required. You will be expected to carry out repairs to components down to board level.

The Candidate for the Field Service Engineer Position:
?You MUST hold a minimum of HNC in an electronics discipline
?You MUST be able to pass security clearance
?Experience in the maintenance or service of high end medical devices or similar would be advantageous
?Self-managing and a team player
?Electronics engineers from the Armed Forces are urged to apply
?Excellent communication skills
?Full UK driving licence
?You MUST have right to work in the UK

?Up to GBP30,000 basic salary, depending on experience
