Paralegal - Contentious Probate & Estates
Are you an ambitious and enthusiastic Paralegal or Legal Assistant looking for an exciting and challenging role in Chichester?
An exciting role for a talented Paralegal from a Private Client or Litigation background has become available with our legal client based in Chichester who is a high profile and specialist Law firm.
The main purpose of the role is to provide technical and practical support in dealing with contentious cases involving Trusts, Wills, Probate and Estates disputes. You will be responsible for taking initial instructions from the client, advising the client in consultation with the supervising partner, ensuring strong and continuous communication is in place with the client at all times.
Responsibilities will include handling a busy caseload, compiling witness statements and court documents, updating the in-house system, dealing with communication and ensuring all client service levels are upheld.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in this area of law, looking to develop their experience further in an innovative and fast paced team. You will have responsibility for both managing your own caseload and clients under supervision and assisting more senior members of the team with their cases. You will be required to provide preliminary advice and guidance to clients on cases as well as preparing letters and documents for Court therefore, your drafting skills should be such that you can produce clear and accurate written work with ease.
We are looking for a truly talented individual who has the ability to learn new skills, but has experience in managing their own caseload, who is responsible, reliable, works well under pressure and can use their own initiative. You must be an effective communicator with rounded client service skills. Previous legal experience and a good standard of education are essential. Candidates who have completed the LPC or Cilex qualification would be considered as would candidates with a law degree or post graduate legal qualification.
