Graduate Food Technologist (Special Projects)

GBP20-25K plus 25 days holiday, pension (up to 8%), parking.

Taunton, Somerset - commutable from: Bridgwater, Exeter, Yeovil, Crewkerne, Glastonbury, Wells, Burnham-On-Sea, Weston-Super-Mare, Minehead

8am-4.30pm Mon-Fri

Are you a food graduate/BTEC or experienced food professional look for a exciting and varied role for one of the UK's biggest & leading Food Manufacturing Companies?

The role offers excellent multiple progression opportunities and the chance to work on exciting and important projects.

This role would suit a recent graduate or a BTEC in food science/technology, or an experienced food/FMCG manufacturing professional.

This permanent position will focus on evaluating and standardising the range of ingredients and suppliers the company uses and will involve supplier management work, new product introduction, costing's, and continuous improvement and product suitability trials.

The Role:

1.Work as part of a project team evaluating ingredients, with the aim of reducing the number across the 3 sites, resulting in a reduction of complexity

2.Assess ingredients' functionalities, process tolerances and impact on final product specifications across manufacturing sites, with a view to consolidate, making supply chain logistics simpler.

3.Conduct kitchen recipes, to assess suitability and process control before trials in the Bakeries.

The Person:

1.Graduate/BTEC or experience food technologist/scientist/manufacturer

2.Aptitude to work in a project based role liaising with both customers and suppliers

3.Willing to occasionally travel to other sites in South East and midlands and very occasionally stay away from home.
